I have the best husband ever! We were talking this morning as I was frantically trying to finish some work before heading off to school. We talked about how fast life is going by. I said I noticed that I run around all day and as I finally lay down at night to go to sleep I remember I hadn't prayed that day (aside from with the family.) I told him that it makes me really sad. I feel weaker and less in control. Charlie said it sounded like I am so busy I had better stop to pray. Then when I was at school he sent me this poem. Like I said, best husband ever.
No Time To Pray
By Grace Naessens
I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish, I didn’t have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me and grew heavier with each task;
Why doesn’t God help me, I wondered; He answered, “You didn’t ask.”
I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn’t show me - He said, “But you didn’t seek.”
I tried to come into God’s presence; I used all my keys at the lock;
God gently and lovingly chided, “My child, you didn’t knock.”
I woke up early this morning and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

You have always been strong so that makes me sad to you feel that way. I know how it is though to get caught up on the day to day.
